WordPress Child Themes can be found in /wp-articles/themes/ like any other WordPress Theme. They’re activated from the WordPress admin like any additional theme. WordPress will accept category-XX.php (where XX may be the ID of a specific category) in a kid Theme if you would like to create changes to a particular category archive.
